Weight Loss and Fitness Science

Survey says that only 20 people of 100 are happy about their weights. More than half among them are the people who want to reduce their weight. rest of them needs weight gain, toned muscle, or a six-pack. This blog explains the science behind the Weight loss and Fitness Programs.

We all know the science about the nutrition and digestion from the school curriculum. The school curriculum says the food digested and stores the components for later use.

After the digestion, the food comes to the process called metabolism. The metabolism is what everyone should understand. The chemical reaction taking place in these energy components fueling the body is metabolism.

The process involved in Metabolism

Anabolism and Catabolism are the processes involved in fueling and storing the energy. The Balance between both involves several enzymes and Hormones.

Biochemically speaking the energy components are recognized by the body as Mono, Di, and Polysaccharides. During digestion, these components become Glucose.
The cells do further chemical reactions by splitting the Glucose into 2 Pyruvate, and the Pyruvate produces the ATP. Adenosine Tri Phosphate, which is called energy Currency.
If the person never uses energy, the ATP is not formed. Instead, the pyruvates are again converted to glucose and stored in the form of Glucogen in the Liver.
Similarly, Fats are converted into pyruvates, if the energy is not used, the body stores the fat in the form of Adipose tissue.

The video embedded can explain in detail.
